About Me

whangamata_2x_edited.jpg

My name is Briar, and I hail from New Zealand. I began my university journey pursuing a double degree in Design and Engineering but soon discovered my true passion lay in combining these fields. This realisation led me to transfer across the country to pursue a Bachelor of Industrial Product Design, which I will complete in 2024 at the University of Canterbury. Throughout my studies, I gained knowledge in chains, manufacturing techniques, graphic design, and CAD software. Growing up I have always held myself to high standards in sports, academics, work, and friendships, dedicating 100% to everything I do. I am diligent, hardworking, and focused, with strong sense of self-initiative. My competitive mindset drives me to constantly strive my own expectations; while this can lead to disappointment it also results in achievements I can take pride in. I believe that when I do fall short, I emerge stronger.

In my spare time I enjoy moving my body, being outside and spending time with friends. My favourite things to do is go camping and I can never say no to a hike with a waterfall!
